Description

These Parmesan & Pepperoni Bites are delicious bite-sized appetizers featuring a creamy, cheesy pepperoni filling wrapped in buttery crescent dough. Perfect for entertaining or snacking, they combine rich cream cheese, sharp parmesan, and savory pepperoni, baked to golden perfection with a sprinkle of Italian seasoning for extra flavor.

Ingredients

Scale

Filling

  • 1 (8-oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ¾ cup chopped pepperoni

Dough

  • 2 (8-oz) cans refrigerated crescent dinner rolls

Topping

  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese (for sprinkling)
  • Italian seasoning, optional, for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven. Preheat your oven to 350ºF (175ºC) to prepare for baking the bites.
  2. Prepare Filling. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and ¾ cup grated parmesan cheese with a mixer until the mixture is smooth and well combined. Then stir in the chopped pepperoni until evenly distributed.
  3. Prepare Dough. Separate the refrigerated crescent roll dough into 8 rectangles and seal any perforations or seams to create solid sheets.
  4. Assemble Bites. Spread the cream cheese and pepperoni mixture down the center of each dough rectangle. Carefully bring the long edges of the dough up to fold over the filling and seal. Cut each folded rectangle into 4 equal squares, creating 32 bite-sized portions.
  5. Apply Toppings. Place each bite seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle each with the remaining ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese and add a light dusting of Italian seasoning if desired for extra flavor.
  6. Bake. Bake in the preheated oven for 13 to 15 minutes, or until the bites are golden brown and cooked through. Allow them to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Use room temperature cream cheese for easier mixing and better texture.
  • You can substitute pepperoni with cooked and chopped sausage or salami.
  • For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes or chopped jalapeños to the filling.
  • Serve warm for best flavor and texture.
  • These bites can be made ahead and reheated in the oven before serving.
