Ingredients
Scale
Chicken Wings
- 2 pounds chicken wings, split and tips removed
Marinade and Seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons Jamaican jerk seasoning
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Garnish (Optional)
- Sliced green onions
- Lime wedges
Instructions
- Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup and to prevent sticking.
- Prep Chicken Wings: Pat the chicken wings dry thoroughly using paper towels to ensure they crisp up well during baking. Place the wings in a large mixing bowl.
- Make Marinade and Coat Wings: Add olive oil, Jamaican jerk seasoning, minced garlic, soy sauce, fresh lime juice, brown sugar, smoked paprika, ground allspice, and black pepper to the bowl. Toss everything together until the chicken wings are evenly coated with the marinade and spices.
- Arrange Wings on Baking Sheet: Spread the coated chicken wings out in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they are not overlapping to promote even cooking and crispiness.
- Bake the Wings: Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake the wings for 40 to 45 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time to ensure even browning and crispiness on all sides.
- Broil for Extra Crispiness (Optional): For extra crispy skin, switch your oven to broil mode at the end of baking and broil the wings for 2 to 3 minutes. Keep a close eye to prevent burning.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove the wings from the oven and garnish with sliced green onions and fresh lime wedges before serving. Enjoy them hot as a tasty appetizer or snack.
Notes
- For deeper flavor, marinate the wings for at least 2 hours or preferably overnight.
- Adjust the amount of jerk seasoning to control the level of spiciness according to your preference.
- Serve these wings with cooling sides like coleslaw or rice to balance the heat.
